HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS
It’s quite important for me that a crimper has multiple settings for temperature, especially cuz all wigs melt differently, and depending on the style I use a different crimp plate.
Any small curler would do, but I do not exceed over 1 inch, I like to keep it at .5
Straighter for most styling
Small hairdryer
I regret buying a big one, it’s so important to keep it lightweight and not blow air too strong since it messes up styling
A handheld steamer, you need to clean it very often or it will get clogged and break
A sturdy wig stand, if you cheap out you will regret it (personal experience) it will cost more to buy stuff to fix it with and/or replace it
At least 2 power modes are needed. No use in getting a industrial one unless you’re planning to melt pipes
Small tools
Both metal and plastic ones are used by me, plastic usually for styling/ paint jobs and metal for everything else
I break and loose these a lot… I bought 2 packs for sectioning same applies to large claw clips
Plastic curlers for steaming. THESE ARE MY HOLY GRAIL! they don’t get hair caught in them, they stay and they let steam through to heat and cool evenly
Silicone mat and spatula to avoid glue stains and spread glue
Refillables
Rubbing alcohol for cleaning everything, I go through a bottle almost weekly
Glue!
Polyester batting for lining
Hot glue for most base gluing
